Hurtling Hippos!
The Amusement Area is open during the Summer Season only (February to November).

Not just all the fun of the fair, with 28 rides and attractions there is something here to suit the whole family. Plummet 30m back to earth on Venom Tower Drop, get truly soaked on the £1m Wild River Rafting or Zambezi Water Splash or take it easy aboard the galloping zebras on the Congo Carousel ride. For your own little cubs, visit our Cubs Kingdom with a selection of rides and attractions designed just for them!
The minimum height required to use rides is 0.8m and with  colour coded easy to use height charts, it is really easy to find rides to suit you.
Multi-ride wristbands or ride tickets are available with special discounts for concessions and Cubs Kingdom.

 Hurtling Hippos 

 This NEW family ride will hurtle its passengers on a whirlwind adventure! High in to the air at a high speed, spinning round and round with sudden changes in direction. A definite ride for thrill seeking families! Min 1.2m (or 1.0m if accompanied)

African Village & Lemur Woods...

Walking with Lemurs...

Believed to be the largest walk-through lemur wood in the UK, with 3 species of lemur living, playing and swinging around you as you take a stroll through the mature woodland.

Keep an eye out for our playful ring-tailed lemurs, small white-fronted brown lemurs, & fluffy red-bellied lemurs.

Don’t forget to watch our daily Lemur Talks where you can watch the keepers feed the lemurs and learn more about these fascinating animals.
Meet the Meerkats... 

Be immersed in the middle of a true meerkat manor and see our groups of meerkats exploring their impressive new home. See these fascinating social animals up close and you may get an experience you will never forget.

Interactive African Village with walk-through area where you can feed our friendly Somali sheep, pygmy goats or Cameroon sheep. 





Penguin Cove...


Discovery Trail


Observe our Humboldt Penguins dive and frolic around their newly completed Penguin Cove, emerging from the water to “chill” on their beach. 


Their newly completed enclosure includes a pool with semi-submerged beach, sculptures, penguin house and public viewing areas.
The humboldt penguins live on the rocky islands and coasts of Peru and Northern Chile. 
Don't miss the daily Penguin Feeds, where you get the chance to learn even more about these fascinating seabirds.

Home to some of the creepiest crawliest creatures including goliath tarantulas, glow in the darkscorpions, infestations of hissing cockroaches, amazing leaf cutting ants and a plague of locusts!





Twilight Cave... 

Home to a bachelor group of Rodrigues fruit bats, and a breeding colony of sebas leaf nosed bats, this is a close encounter of the flying kind!
Also in this walk-through Twilight Forest you may get a chance to glance the Madagascan jumping rats hiding in their nocturnal exhibits.

SeaQuarium... 

See aquatic life from all over the world. Including coralreefs with anemones and clown fish (Nemo!), meat eating piranhas and the most venomous fish in the world, the stone fish!


Mark O’Shea's Reptile World... 

Visit some of the largest and most deadly reptiles from all around the globe. Everything from crocodiles to snapping turtles, brightly coloured deadly dart frogsto, boas and pythons over 15ft long, and highly venomous cobras, vipers and rattlesnakes! Daily reptile tours give the opportunity to discover more in an informative tour from one of our expert reptile keepers.

You can drive with car through this Safari park and you can see about 165 species of exotic animals. 

African Reserve... 

Home to our herd of Southern white rhino and one of the parks most popular sights and experiences – the elegant giraffe. Not to mention the well known stripes of a zebra, prized ankole cattle, ellipsen waterbuckswamp living red lechwe and the eland largest of all antelope species.
Dholes...
Playing in the sunshine or sleeping in the dappled shade, this pack of dholes help protect an endangered area of heathland SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest).

  
Asian Reserve...

An area of contrasts from the enormous Asian water buffalo to the tiny anoa, the great samba deer to the dainty blackbuck and axis deer not forgetting of course the worlds rarest deer, the Philippine spotted deer, the endangered barasingha and or course the amazing armoured greater one horned rhino!
Tiger Reserve... 

Tigers are the largest members of the cat family and are renowned for their power and strength. See the magnificent tigers kept here at the park.


Cheetah Plains...

Home to the world’s fastest land mammal, capable of reaching up to 70mph! See our the largest group of cheetah in the UK in the large natural enclosures.



African Wild Dog Reserve...

A stunning and clever predator. A must visit animal that is rarely seen. Visit this magnificent pack of African wild dogs at your own risk!


Realm of the Lions...

NEW FOR 2013 - ENTER LION COUNTRY! Realm of the Lions - the latest exhibit to be incorporated into the four-mile self-drive safari is now open.

The entire exhibit has been fully landscaped to create the appearance of savannah grassland and themed with boulders, plants and sculpted lion head rockwork from which a waterfall cascades into a pool below. More importantly the area that spans almost seven and a half acres, will provide important and essential enrichment for the Park's pride of 13 African lions.



Eurasian Reserve... 

Here you will see  two humped bactrian camels, rare and endangered Pere Davids deer, and the ever curious Nilgai and banteng.




Elephant Reserve... 

As well as  African elephants look out for the nimble barbary sheep as they hop from rock to rock on the hills.




West Midland Safari

West Midland Safari

New off-road experience on offer at WMSP                                      

West Midland Safari is a safari park located in Bewdley in Worcestershire, England. It was opened in spring 1973.
The park holds over 165 species of exotic animals. The 4-mile (6.4 km) safari contains about 600 animals from around 40 different species from Europe, Africa, North America and Asia. The park also includes a large amusement park and a "Discovery Trail" including reptile and insect houses. There is also access to Spring Grove House, the grounds of which the park is built in.
West Midland Safari Park is the home to the only pride of White Lions in the UK and has branded itself 'Home of the White Lions'
The park is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums  and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria. The dhole enclosure in the safari is a heathland Site of Special Scientific Interest .
The park contains the largest pride of white lions, The largest coalition of cheetah, the largest streak of white tigers, the largest pod of common hippopotamus, the largest mob of meerkats, and the largest lemur walk-through exhibit in the UK. It was also the first park in the UK to have the big five game animals.
